Assessing the value of a “Wedding Day Coordination” service??

Wedding CollageHere is a very conservative break down of time spent for a typical wedding day coordination service:

  • 1 hour – initial phone inquiry and in-person consultation
  • 1 hour – creating and sending your contract for services and processing payments including billing for future payments
  • 1.5 hours – in-person meeting before the wedding to go through details and checklists with the bride (including travel time)
  • 2 hours – phone and email communication with your clients before the wedding
  • 2 hours – create and finalize the wedding day time line and vendor list
  • 2 hours – communicating with and confirming all vendors
  • 2 hours – attend a final meeting at the venue with your client to review details and logistics (including travel time)
  • 1.5 hours – attending and managing the wedding rehearsal (including travel time)
  • 11 hours – actual time you are on-site during the wedding day (including travel time)
  • 1 hour – follow up after the wedding with clients and returning any rental items you are responsible for

=25 hours of time!  Although it may seem like it is only “ONE DAY” simply by its title, it is one of the single most important days of your life!   An experienced planner will exceed your expectations and is hands down worth  the investment! Becky + Kurtis Skelly Lodge

From the first meeting with Becky and her mom, I had a great feeling about this wedding! It was going to take place at one of our favorite
venues, Skelly Lodge in Catoosa, OK. Becky was looking for Day of Services to help eliminate unnecessary stress for her, her mom, the wedding
party and family members.  By the huge smile on this couples face I  would say mission accomplished!  It was so fun to watch as the two families came together and celebrated this sweet couple.  Photos courtesy of Emily Hughes, Something Gold Photography (www.somethinggoldphotography.com)

Dreaming of Spring!

So I have a confession to make. Okay, so ever since this crazy cold weather rolled in I’ve been seriously thinking ahead to warmer Spring months. Sundresses, open toed shoes, shedding this Winter coat of mine? Yeah, all of that is sounding pretty darn good at the moment. And so what better color palette to share on this cold wintry day that this happy sunny palette. Doesn’t that just warm your heart and make you smile?

Yeah, those had me at hello. So what do you think? Is anyone else liking these Spring inspired colors? – See more at: www.tulsaweddings.com/blog

What to expect from Tulsa Weddings & Design

We realize the majority of brides and grooms have never planned an event as big as their wedding day. It is most likely the largest amount of money they have ever spent on a single day. Typically they have not worked with an event planner before or with any other event professionals. Our clients are relying on us to get them through the process but they often don’t know what to expect.  Through each phase of the planning process, we take the time to explain how wedding planning works.  Which means a better educated couple on how to impact the overall design without breaking the bank.  Talking clients through the planning process includes the following:

  • The order we like to book vendors
  • How you estimate and work with their budget
  • How many vendors you will recommend in each category
  • How our design process works
  • How rentals work
  • What they can expect at vendor consultations
  • What meetings we will attend
  • What we keep track of and what you expect clients to do on their own
  • When we will have initial time lines done
  • How vendor contracts and payments work
  • What a mock-up and final walk-through are
  • What we do on the wedding day

Whether you are planning a wedding, corporate or social gathering,  trust Tulsa Weddings & Designs with the details of your special event. We can’t wait to meet you and hear about your event details.
